Flower Arranging for Competition Miniature
We were required to use only Australian native flora that had been grown in your garden for this competition.

Fortunately we have planty of small flowers to choose from as scale is the most important element in the judging of this class.
The container is the cap from a bottle of our famous Bundaberg rum - a dark (and delicious) rum produced in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia for over 100 years.

Remembereing that scale is important, we know that the container is 3cm(just over 1") tall, so my finished arrangement will come in under the 10cm(4") limit whilst still using the rule of thumb that your arrangement should be 1.5 times the height of your container.

The arrangement is a traditonal symmetrical one using small leaf grevillea as the foliage with flowers of melaleuca thymifolia as the focal point. These flowers are small and lacy coming in white and mauve.
