This arrangement was used as the centerpiece for the instructor's table at a demonstration party on how to make jams. It can be adapted to many different baking and cooking themes

The jam it depicts is Rose Petal.

For this one I used the recipe contained in a glossy cookbook placed on a book stand as the backdrop with an unusually shaped timber cutting board as the base of the front part of the arrangement.

A formal arrangement in a vase to depict the raw ingredients (roses) is balanced on the opposite side of the centerpiece by a pot (or saucepan) filled to just over the edge with roses (to depict the cooking process). Both of these use a small amount of oasis to keep the arrangement in place.

A jar of the finished product is placed in the middle of the centerpiece with a wooden spoon at its side. The finishing touch is to scatter a few loose rose petals across the spoon.
