"Bench Exhibit - An exhibit is plant material with or without accessories, contained within a space specified. Plant material should predominate over all other components used. Living plant material when cut must be in water or water retaining material with the exception of other water retaining plant material e.g. fruit, vegetables. Bench space allocated for this design was 75cm and only Australian native flora could be used.
The container is an old pair of moleskins (these are very common workpants on Australian farms) stitched together to hold a large glass container within them.
In the back pocket I have placed a large gumnut and some slices of banksia. The glass container has a cut of banksia foliage and then various sizes of banksia flowers both full and sliced.
